Ironman Fortaleza Brazil is one of the most popular races in South America with the swim in the Atlantic sea then on to a flat fast bike course to top it off with a challenging final run. Brazil is also home to no less than four Ironmanevents of wich two are full and two are 70:3 races.

First to cross the finishline in 8:30:15 was Brazils own Guilherme Valenza Manocchio followed by Eneko LLanos in 8:32:02. When publishing only one women had crossed the finishline and it was the winner Haley Chura (USA) who finished 11th overall in 9:09:20.
